Introducing Cledara: An all-in-one SaaS management platform helping companies keep costs under control
Cledara is the all-in-one SaaS management solution that helps businesses in 28 countries discover, buy, manage and cancel the cloud software they use to run their business. They bring visibility, control and scalable processes to the end-to-end journey of software for everyone in an organization.
Cledara was founded by Cristina Vila in 2018 after experiencing the internal challenges faced by companies using SaaS. Shortly after, Cristina was joined by ex-Railsbank executive Brad van Leeuwen as co-founder and COO.
Today, Cledara holds the world’s largest SaaS data set with more than 800 customers managing more than 2,500 different SaaS products on their platform.
What we liked about Cledara
As regular investors in SaaS, and with a portfolio of companies that are heavy SaaS users, we knew first-hand that managing SaaS can be chaotic and cumbersome. In fact, companies waste billions every year on duplicate, forgotten or unused SaaS purchases.
Cledara provides the ability to procure SaaS subscriptions while removing the friction at every stage of the user journey. It also allows the implementation of on-boarding and off-boarding processes, spend monitoring and analysis, and the integration of compliance to meet regulatory standards (such as those for financial services or GDPR) helping reduce risk.
Ultimately, Cledara has the potential to become the system of record for software data within any organisation.
What we liked about Cristina and Brad
Attracting top talent and learning fast are the key success factors for start-ups. When we met Cristina and Brad at SaaStock 2019 we quickly impressed. Both Cristina and Brad have ample entrepreneurial and operational experience. As far as founders go, they complement their skill sets very well.
These values and entrepreneurial spirit is something they have embedded into the culture at Cledara, making it one of the most attractive start-ups to work in in London, Barcelona and now Denver.
What Cledara thinks about us
When asked to comment on her thoughts towards Nauta, Co-founder and CEO Cristina Vila had this to say:
"Nauta are truly founder-first. You can share everything and really trust them. This has been massively helpful on our journey of building Cledara into a category defining business."
What the industry thinks about Cledara
Cledara’s value proposition has been recognised widely within the industry, having recently been named as one of the hottest European fintech start-ups by FinTech50 and featuring in the new AWS Activate Console Exclusive Offers programme.
Furthermore, Cledara was part of the 2019 cohort of Techstars London and were named SaaS Startup of the Year 2018 by SaaStock, Europe’s largest SaaS conference, as well as one of the top 5 female-founded enterprise SaaS companies outside of the US by Melinda Gates’ Pivotal Ventures and M12.
Introducing Treblle: A powerful tool to empower a complex and confusing API landscape with seamless clarity.
Having personally suffered at the hands of inefficient corporate platforms throughout their professional careers, Vedran and Darko quickly came to realize that platform quality was of utmost importance. What the market lacked was a powerful API observability platform providing big picture context around APIs, and that didn’t cause recurring headaches to use. And that’s just what they did.
Introducing MishiPay: A fully fledged mobile self-checkout solution to the inconvenience of physical stores
MishiPay was first conceived back in 2015 when CEO & founder Mustafa Khanwala stood in a supermarket queue for over 20 minutes all to purchase a single can of soda. It was from this frustration that Mustafa derived his virtual mobile scan & pay solution to the pains of both customer and store alike, and that solution was MishiPay.
Introducing Loyal Guru: An all-in-one platform that analyses individual customers to create automated bespoke loyalty programs
Loyal Guru was first introduced to the world back in 2016 when co-founders Borja Sanfeliu and Javi Fernández decided to address the intelligence, or lack thereof, issue plaguing the world of personalisation marketing. Their response? A platform empowering retailers to individually personalise loyalty programs at scale whilst simultaneously optimising their marketing budgets.
